With a specialty in Internal Medicine, I will provide your first line of care for any medical needs. This includes comprehensive care, diagnosis, and treatment of your condition. It is my hope to help prevent illness and disease as much as possible. However, if you need care I will be available to diagnose and treat you or, when needed, refer you to a specialist and help arrange for your specialty needs.

NEPHROLOGY (KIDNEY)

Avoiding Dialysis

Nephrology is the specialty that focuses on the Kidney and related physiology. Your Kidneys filter your blood, keeping the fluids and electrolytes your body needs and removing those it does not by making Urine. High blood pressure and diabetes are two of the major disease that contribute to kidney failure, among others. Kidney failure may lead to the need for dialysis if not treated. For patients referred to me for Nephrology care avoiding the need for dialysis is my primary goal by maintaining and improving kidney function. The key to this is treating the underlying disease and proper medication management.

Through a comprehensive approach to medicine, I try viewing each patient as a whole rather than a single symptom to be treated.
